About Alterian
Company History
Alterian was established in 1997 to take advantage of the rapidly growing international demand for marketing analytics software. The Company was admitted to the Official List in July 2000, enabling the Company to increase its investment in software development and accelerate distribution particularly in the North American market. The organic growth of the Company has been supported through selective acquisitions. Alterian is listed on the London Stock Exchange (ticker: ALN)
The Company's principal markets are North America and the United Kingdom. Alterian entered the North American market in 2000, recognising that this represented the largest market for its products and offering the greatest opportunity for growth.
Alterian has grown both organically and through the completion of several acquisitions, most recently Mediasurface and its sophisticated WCM software products, which have been successfully integrated into its business in order to extend the Company’s market reach and broaden its product offering.

Alterian recognise that having the right software product is only one part of the key to success. The Company has also developed relationships with marketing service providers, marketing agencies and system integrators through which its products are marketed, sold and implemented and now has over 80 partners including companies such as Acxiom, Experian, InfoGroup and Merkle.
These partners deliver Alterian software alongside their own value-added services, to market leaders like Princess Cruises, General Motors, Zurich, HSBC, Limited Too, Dell, Amnesty International and Vodafone.
