Global technology supplier, Assembléon, selects Morello to power new website
Mediasurface, Europe's largest supplier of Web Content Management Software (CMS), announces that Assembléon, a leading global supplier of technology solutions for electronics producers, has selected the Morello CMS from Mediasurface to run its new website. The new Assembléon website (www.assembleon.com) is now live and is a key element of the company’s communication strategy. The company’s objectives for the website state that it should be dynamic and act as a showcase for the company.Prior to implementing Morello, publishing content and creating new pages on the site was a cumbersome and time-consuming task, usually requiring technical support to complete. This difficult process had to remedied by the new CMS. Another important requirement for the company was for the new CMS to support multiple languages, as Assembléon has customers all over the world who need to be able to view the site in their own language. Morello ticked all these boxes.
Gus van der Feltz, Marketing Director at Assembléon commented, "Morello offers us all the functionality and processes to realize our current and future objectives for a dynamic online website. Keeping content up-to-date is very simple and has been laid down in a workflow. Several content owners, such as product managers, support staff and technicians, provide content independently. At the same time, Morello offers us a platform for the future. We now have a stable, user-friendly and very flexible arrangement that we can expand according to our own needs and those of our customers".
The new site is more than just an information source for clients and prospects. Assembléon also offers additional services in the form of an online catalogue, allowing customers to order spare parts online. In the longer term, the company wants to expand this service even more, with a personalised customer portal. Customers would get access to specific information, for example, the maintenance history of their machines or information about upgrades. This can be achieved within the current Morello environment.
Arjen van den Akker, Marketing Director for Continental Europe at Mediasurface, adds: "Assembléon is an advanced high-tech company. This is evident from the way they are developing their online presence. Providing increased self-service capability to customers is an obvious trend in the market towards 24/7 service. They use existing information in a clever way to better serve their customers".
