Médecins sans Frontières first user of Immediacy CMS in Benelux
Mediasurface (UK, AIM: MSR), Europe's largest supplier of web content management systems (CMS), announces that Mediasurface partner theFactor.e (TFE) has been selected by Médecins sans Frontières to redesign its corporate website. TFE has recommended Immediacy CMS and will also implement the software. Médecins sans Frontières is the first organisation in the Netherlands where Immediacy CMS will be deployed, since its introduction in Benelux at the end of January. With its new website, Médecins sans Frontières aims to improve usability, accessibility and allow more interaction with its visitors. Also the people in the field and their projects will be more visible on the site. Eventually Médecins sans Frontières hopes, via the website, to inform more people about the abuses they encounter in war and conflict zones, and to be able to recruit more funds for all projects around the world.
Fieke den Boer, Web Manager with Médecins sans Frontières, is very happy with the coming changes to the site. "Médecins sans Frontières runs into a number of limitations with the existing site," says Fieke den Boer. "The current structure of the website is not always clear and relevant information can not be found quickly enough, whereas we are keen on being able to share information about our projects and emergencies that we encounter during our work. Good information leads to more donors and they’re the ones you need if you want to continue to do your work."
Marco de Jong, General Manager of TFE, adds: "Online loyalty is a great thing for charities, such as Médecins sans Frontières. TFE has already gained a lot of experience with the issues that play a role at Médecins sans Frontières and is therefore delighted to be selected to work for this medical relief organisation." In order to contribute from its own organisation to the important work of Médecins sans Frontières, TFE has given a substantial discount on the total project.
